Meet Our Dancers
Emily Frederickson

Emily Frederickson is an 8th grader at Liberty Middle School. She has been dancing for 9 years and is in her first year with the SBT Company. One of Emily’s favorite dance memories is from Aladdin, where she got to dance through the audience. Her strongest and favorite style of dance is modern, and as a new member of SBT, she is excited to showcase her hard work through performing.

Outside of dance, Emily enjoys participating in the summer swim league at Lake Forest Lightning, where she coaches the six-and-under swimmers. In her future, Emily hopes to attend the Alliance Academy of Innovation for high school. After graduating, she plans to go to college and become an adoption lawyer. She also dreams of traveling the world with her family.

Emily is a member of Peer Buddies, a group that supports special education students in their learning and development, and she is involved in the Sources of Strength program which helps peers feel accepted and supported at school. Additionally, Emily and her family run a nonprofit charity called Hope for the Homeless, providing backpacks filled with basic supplies and other materials to those in need.

Emily’s favorite activities besides dance include reading books, hiking with her family, and helping others.
